Since our founding in 2011, we have been a consistent resource for transgender and gender nonconforming Louisianians, whether they needed referals for providers, support, or an advocate to help them with their school or employer. We've held over 500 monthly support meetings in cities throughout Louisiana. Between our monthly meetings and our online support space, over 3,000 Louisianians consider themselves members of Louisiana Trans Advocates, and we're growing everyday!
But we don't just provide direct support to trans people in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Lake Charles, Monroe, Shreveport, Ruston, on the campus of Louisiana State University, and online. We also lead efforts to change policies in local government and at the state level to ensure the full inclusion of trans, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming people in public life, including employment, housing, and public accommodations.
... and we wouldn't be able to continue to provide vital resources to the trans community of Louisiana without your help! If you believe in trans leadership, make a tax-deductible contribution today to help sustain our work in Louisiana.
